When we're at your pool to open it in the spring or close it in the fall, we're already standing right next to your equipment pad. So we look it over. Every opening and closing we do includes a free equipment inspection — pump, filter, heater, valves, and the plumbing we can see. We tell you exactly what we find, and it costs you nothing extra.

Here's the honest version: this isn't a sales pitch. We don't sell or install equipment. We inspect it and we report what we see — good, bad, or somewhere in between. That's it. If something looks like it's heading for trouble, you'll hear about it from us before it leaves you with a dead pool in July or a cracked pump in January.

Why we look while we're already there

Pool equipment rarely fails all at once. It gives you warning signs first — a little drip here, a strange noise there, a part that's clearly past its prime. The problem is that most pool owners never get close enough to their equipment pad to notice. An opening or closing is the one time of year somebody who knows pools is standing right at the gear, with the time to actually look.

Kenny has been around pools for 13+ years — he knows how the whole system fits together and what a healthy pad is supposed to look and sound like. Catching a small problem in the spring or fall is the difference between a planned, calm fix and a panicked phone call when the water turns green or the lines freeze solid.

What we check

During every opening and closing, we give the equipment pad a real once-over. We're looking at:

• The pump — listening for bad bearings or a tired, straining motor, and checking the shaft seal area for weeping or leaking.
• The filter — checking for cracks, worn clamps and bands, a pressure gauge that's telling the wrong story, and whether the filter is simply past its service life.
• The heater — looking over the visible condition, connections, and any obvious signs of corrosion or trouble.
• Valves — checking that diverter and multiport valves turn freely and aren't weeping or seized.
• Visible plumbing & fittings — scanning the unions, couplings, and PVC we can see for cracks, drips, or stress, plus any union that's started to weep.

These are the parts that, left alone, tend to turn a quiet problem into an expensive emergency. A weeping pump seal becomes a seized motor. A cracked union becomes a freeze-burst line over the winter. A filter at the end of its life becomes a mid-summer breakdown when you least want it.

What you get afterward

When we're done, you get a straight answer. If we spot a weeping seal, a tired motor, a cracked union, or a filter that's on borrowed time, we tell you plainly what we saw and why it matters — so you can plan a fix on your schedule instead of an emergency.

And if everything looks good? We tell you that too. That's the part a lot of folks don't expect. We're not here to invent problems — we don't sell equipment, so we have no reason to. A clean bill of health on your pad is a perfectly good result, and you deserve to hear it honestly.
